Top 5 Klaviyo Integrations To Boost Your Email Marketing Strategy

There's no denying that Klaviyo is one of the best email marketing software out there. However, if you're trying to boost your email marketing strategy, you might want to check out some of these integrations.

Klaviyo is very powerful. In fact, it's difficult to think of another Email Service Provider (ESP) that currently has as many seamless integrations as Klaviyo.

By seamless integration, I mean there’s little to no development work required when integrating third party tools with Klaviyo. In less than 3 clicks, you can start syncing data from other apps.

So without further ado, let’s get into it!

Here’s a list of my top 5 favourite Klaviyo integrations:

1 - Recharge

If you run a subscription-based business, Recharge is most likely already part of your tech stack. And there’s no surprise there, Recharge is extremely powerful. And it’s even more powerful when combined with Klaviyo.

What I love most about Recharge is the events you can push to Klaviyo:

  • Starts subscription
  • Canceled subscription
  • Expired subscription
  • Abandoned cart (subscription in checkout)

You can use these events to power your email flows inside Klaviyo. And if you want to go even further, Recharge also allows you to filter your flows by data properties.

For example, you might want to send a subscription reminder to your customers depending on their order interval (30 days, 60 days, etc.).

2 - Loyalty Lion

Loyalty Lion is fantastic!

Once you’re done with the fundamentals of your email marketing strategy, loyalty and referral programs are great to scale your brand further.

Loyalty Lion allows you to create flows natively within Klaviyo, send emails to new referrals and notify loyal customers about their rewards. On top of that, you will be able to add more data points for all of your customers and fuel your targeting efforts.

3 - Typeform

Typeform is a form and survey tool that allows you to conduct customer research.

However, when integrated with Klaviyo, it’s so much more than that. It can also be used to segment your audience, create user-generated content (UGC), and enrich your customer data.

Typeform is truly incredible! The only downside is the way they’re sending data into your Klaviyo account. Each question gets sent in raw format within your Klaviyo profile properties, which can look messy and unorganized.

That’s why my only advice here is to only sync relevant form responses with Klaviyo when setting up the integration. You can end up passing a lot of data that has no actual use in your email marketing strategy.

4 - Facebook

Integrating Klaviyo with Facebook will help to get the most out of subscriber data.

It’s also really easy to set up. Klaviyo has a Facebook Advertising integration setup wizard that will walk you through the process.

There are 2 main benefits of integrating Facebook with Klaviyo:

  • Sync lists and segments to Facebook as Custom Audiences. You can then advertise to them or create Lookalike Audiences based on your email segments.
  • Subscribers that sign up through Facebook Lead Ad Forms should be added to a Klaviyo list.

I love using this integration to target inactive customers or subscribers. When working with clients that have huge chunks of inactive customers, we sync those segments with Facebook and run re-engagement paid ads campaigns.

5 - Aftership

Over the years, a lot of my clients used Aftership as their main shipment tracking software.

Usually, these types of software have basic functionality when designing emails and it’s extremely hard to create transactional emails that look on brand.

A great solution for this is to integrate Aftership with Klaviyo.

When enabled, the Aftership integration will send tracking information back to Klaviyo via a webhook, so you can incorporate shipping data into automated flows in near real-time.

AfterShip syncs the following metrics to Klaviyo:

  • Delivery Exception
  • Failed Delivery Attempt
  • In Transit
  • Out for Delivery
  • Received Delivery
  • Shipped Package

5 - Final Thoughts

As mentioned in the beginning, Klaviyo is extremely powerful. The possibilities for customizing consumer experiences are unlimited if you’re clever on how to use Klaviyo’s wide range of integrations.

As a disclaimer, none of these tools are really necessary to have a successful email marketing strategy for your ecommerce business. The specific technology is less important when following a good email strategy focused on customer journey.

At the end of the day, you should alway focus on having the basics in place before investing in additional software fees (which may quickly pile up). However, when the time is right these tools will help you get more creative with your email strategy and offer an overall better experience for your customers.
